A newborn is probably the one type of kid that is pretty much invisible at a wedding. All they do is sleep and nurse.

I didn't read the memo update about kid number 2. I totally agree! Anyone that isn't eating actual food and can't walk on their own shouldn't be an issue.
There is that slippery slope however if someone gets to bring their newborn someone is going to complain as to why they can't bring their 2 year old. It is kind of like when people want to bring dogs to your house for a party.
