Some back story:

I had a friend have one of these weddings, and the date was a week after our due date for kid #2. No problem for kid #1 to spend the day/night at the grandparents, but we asked about showing up with a newborn, and were told "no".

I couldn't help but feel that was completely ridiculous, and as a result of not going I have one less friend of facebook (he de-friended me). So stupid.
I don't have a problem with the concept, kid free sounds great to me, but the fact that he was apparently offended by you not showing up due to having a newborn is ridiculous. A newborn!!! What did he expect? Sounds to me like you're better off down one crappy friend.
