Speaking as someone who watched 30 of Schultz's 34 AHL games in person, he didn't have anything more to prove in the AHL. It came too easy for him. He really needs to battle through at the NHL level to get better defensively, that's the only way he will.
Yakupov's work ethic is unbelievable. I see him running stairs after most games and coming in to work out on off days. I think he'll turn out fine also.

Just curious because I didn't watch him in the AHL, but did he succeed in the AHL because he was kind of insulated by Hall, Eberle, and RNH?
