The way that the team and the young guys have played thus far really shows that Jarome Iginla was a hindrance to this franchise for the past few years. I've really started to believe the negative comments made by past teammates and stories. So much so that it's no wonder that Phaneuf and Regehr clashed with him. In my mind, Kipper's legacy as a Flames player is better than Iginla's as of right now.
It's more than just a coincidence that the Flames get rid of Iginla and there seems to be a whole lot of fresh air in the room, and a work ethic on the team that hasn't been seen since 2007.
