After months of trade speculation, the New York Jets are prepared to desert Revis Island.

The Jets and Tampa Bay Buccaneers have agreed to a trade for Darrelle Revis, pending the star cornerback passing a physical, according to a league source. The parameters of a contract extension for Revis with the Buccaneers are in place.

The Jets will receive multiple draft picks, including the 13th overall choice, from the Buccaneers if Revis passes his physical. The Jets already own the ninth pick, setting themselves up to add two potential impact players.

Revis is en route to Tampa, a source said, and is expected to take the physical later Sunday.

The contract isn't expected to be an issue for the Bucs, who apparently are willing to pay Revis about $15 million per year.
