Well for starters the season is going half a month longer than it usually does.
The timing is not particularly strange. Up until the deadline Feaster was concentrated on trades. After the deadline Feaster said he was going to focus on signing the kids. Wotherspoon and Granlund had to be signed by June 1st. Ramage by August.
People question the GM if he takes his time signing these guys. And apparently people question the GM if he signs them promptly. Like I said, seems silly to invent reasoning about PR/padding his resume when he's actually just doing his job in timely fashion. Guess Feaster can never win
