When I was 15 (30 now) I got my first job ever working as a dishwasher in the Roundup Pub for that years Stampede. Money wise, it was my first paycheck ever so I remember the exact number, $631.35 plus $85 in tips payed out in cash on my last shift, not too shabby at all. I felt rich! At the time, not bad for 9 days of work. The actual job...hell. It was a disgusting job because one of the guys I worked with would eat the food coming in off customers plates. I would be about to throw something into the garbage and he would say "hold on! There's some fries and half a sandwich on there!" and down the hatch it went at incredible speed. Gross. By the end of the job the smell of BBQ beef on a bun would make me ill. I didn't work there again the next year. In conclusion, I don't recommend working as a dishwasher at the Stampede. Unless you need $716.35 quite badly.
