Outside of the backpack none of what you have created there has any basis. What's suspicious about the way he's carrying it? As I said above, I carry my bag like that frequently in crowds, as do many other considerate people. He does appear to be alone, as would many people who are at a marathon to watch their husband or wife finish the race. What profile does he fit? White guy?
