I have a 2 door car, with long doors, and a very high centre console that there would be no way in a million years to climb over from the passenger side. Am I supposed to wait an hour for him to finish making his purchases at the Affliction store, and buying white Oakleys at Sunglass hut, or am I going to wedge into my car, as best I can so I am not late for work, an appointment... whatever. If I get parked in by you, because you think your parking space is more important, than me being able to leave the mall.... that's tough #### if I ding your car trying to wedge my body into mine.

There is no way in a million years it would hold up even if I did and you had a picture of my plate, unless you film the actual act. The dip poop that used to park next to me in the parkade in my building put half a dozen door dings on one of my cars, and when I tried to get insurance involved, they said "If there isn't a witness, there is nothing you can do, unless he fesses up." It would be no different in a mall. There is no proof any of the next 2, 3 or 10 cars dinged you. Door dings do not leave paint transfer. And even if they did, you can brush it off with a finger tip. You think the Calgary Police service is going to get involved if you get a door ding, get David Caruso, and his CSI team out doing DNA swabs of your car? They are going to tell you to call your insurance, or go spend $100 at dent clinic.

If you park someone in like an inconsiderate a-hole... like it sounds like you do, you deserve the door dings.
You can wedge yourself into your car without throwing your door into their car. I've had tight fits where I had to put the door up against the adjacent car but I do it gently so I don't leave a mark/dent.

Maybe the vehicle beside you circled around trying to find a spot and finally found one but the car beside him parked on the line so it was a tight fit. What's he supposed to do? Be "late for work, an appointment... whatever"?
