One of the things missing in the analysis (an the gushing praise for Hartley) is the complete change in coaching direction.... either forced by line-up changes or finally driven home by my post here on CP:
the lines:
Baertschi Backlund- Stempniak
Hulder - Rienhardt - Jackman
Cammalleri - Horak - Aliu
Cervenka - Street - Begin
There was at least 1 big tough guy on each line.
Jackman was a monster.... season high ice time 13:44 All with Hulder and Rienhart against Edmonton's top 2 lines (either Eberle/Gagner or Hall/RNH) 2 assists, +1, 6 SOG and 7 hits Hudler looked good playing with the time and space created by Jackman and Rienhart.
Just 2 years ago Jackman had 10 goals and 23 pts when he got a chance to play off the 4th line. He makes the guys on his line a lot more confident and and a lot less chance of being bullied and pushed around.
