Not my story, but one of my older cousins. It happened about 10 years ago.
My cousin - who at the time was 19- and a few of his friends were walking back home late at night after getting slurpee's. While his friends were talking to each other, my cousin noticed that across the street some guy -who looked to be in his 30's - was hitting a girl outside a bar (he presumed she was his girlfriend by what they were saying). The guy and girl were with another guy, who looked like a massive Russian bodyguard.
My cousin walked over to the guy, asked what was going on and the guy just said to get lost and threatened to mess him up if he didn't. So without further notice, my cousin one-punched the guy who was hitting the girl, knocking him out cold. Immediately after dropping the guy, the big Russian grabs my cousin from behind by the shoulders and lifts him 3+ feet off the ground - my cousin is like 5'9 and his friends were even shorter. My cousin said he nearly crapped his pants, he thought he was screwed.
By this time, my cousins friends realized what was going on, and one was sprinting full tilt over to my cousins rescue. Sprinting full speed, he tackled the big guy, hitting the back of his knees. The Russian dropped to his knees, simultaneously dropping my cousin. As my cousin landed on his feet, he turned around and then decked the Russian. The big guy tried to get back up to fight some more, so my cousin and his friend kicked him a few times until the Russian decided to stay down.
The drunk girl thanked them. They told the girl to find better company, and they walked off.
