It is not developed over a six week period. This is what the Flames have done over the past 10-15 years. Outside of that glorious run to the finals, and a division crown the following year, the Flames have been a loser organization. This isn't something that just happened recently and is a result of fan desire for a top draft pick. This has taken years of work to build this loser mentailty.

Some of us fans do see a light at the end of the tunnel. This team has finally figured out asset management (sort of) and has set the team up for a very good result in the draft. To do this they just need to lose a few more games than this lost (shortened) season. The expectation is for this team to get better because of these few losses and become competitive next season or the season after that. No expectations of loses next year, quite the opposite. We expect big improvements, especially if the 20 year excuse of not having a franchise center is ripped from the lexicon of the management team. We are not Oiler fans and asking for several years of sucking and tanking to grab three straight top picks. We're only asking that the Flames take advantage of the precarious position they find themselves and finally get that elusive top three pick and garner that franchise center or winger to support the cast of young players coming up in the ranks.

Thats EXACTLY what you would be...as that is exactly what they have been doing for years..."Fail for Nail"!! "Fall for Hall"!!!....its ridiculous.

But then again...im "delusional".
