Just wondering how much flak everyone is getting as a Flames fan for the team?

Today someone I know; an Oiler fan, insisted the Flames would suck for ten years. I tried pointing out the logic that if they sucked for that long they'd have a wealth of top draft picks and why wouldn't they be able to turn the corner after 5ish years as the oilers had done.
I'm finding a lot of rhetoric out there against the Flames and a lot of it is overblown. How about you?

Where I live I tell people I'm a Flames fan and they just stare blankly at me. I don't care how much progress they say has been made for hockey in California, most people have no idea there's even a league.
