You do not believe that he would have chosen the Flames to play on because they had assembled a group of small skilled guys that had a lot in common with him and no one to go into the corners?
The reason I do not like having players getting paid more than they produce on the ice is that the resulting team sucks and does not make the playoffs year after year.
Are you happy that Bouwmeester made well over $22,000,000 while never contributing enough to get the flames into the top half of the league????

Well by looking at other 2.8 mil players who were ufa when they signed their contracts we have:
Bergenheim, Malhotra, Sullivan, Brodziak and Cleary. Hudler produces more then these guys. He's definitely in the 3.5-4.0 range for salary.
