This thread is such a nice breath of fresh air.
I too am pretty impressed our young guys. I know some of you may not believe me, but a general rule I've been seeing the last couple of seasons is that many of our young guys look better in the NHL than they do in the AHL.
Ward has mentioned it a few times that it's easier to score at the NHL level. I'm starting to believe it. Horak look OK here in Abby, but he's looked awesome in Calgary. Reinhart brought it every shift in Abby, but was prone to turnover a bit. He's looked good in Calgary.
It's weird because Baertschi, while our most highly touted prospect, has looked the least ready for the NHL level in these last few games.
I'm really excited to see what Cundari can bring this weekend. He's only slightly taller than Sylvester, but he's a big dude.
