I have been with PC Financial for years, and I'd recommend them. The one and only time I was at the "grocery store bank" was to set up my account many years ago. The are essentially a non-branch version of CIBC, so you can use any CIBC machine for ATM banking without fees, and the rest you can do online. You make it sound like you have to stand in line at Superstore with your milk and eggs in order to make a deposit.

I guess that I don't ever find myself needing a bank draft immediately, so having them mail it to me is fine. And if I needed a money order immediately, I could always buy one at the post office.

That being said, I do hear that First Calgary is pretty good for a bricks and mortar bank. I just don't have any need to walk up to a teller and ask them to do something for me that I have already done myself at home.
