Essentially we are getting more now than we are likely to ever get with our own 2nd and 3rd round picks. We also have a unique opportunity to take advantage of this as the cap is going down this year.

The rebuilding process is not going to be a 7 year process, or at least it shouldn't if done right. Acquiring player who are 20-23 is not going to delay the rebuild. Those players will be 26-27 (aka just entering their prime) by the time the rebuild is done.

Edit: Only on the internet is acquiring a player who is 20-23 years old, considered short sighted.
The kind of guys that we are going to be overpaying and only giving up 2nd or 3rd rounders aren't going to be very worthwhile or helpful for anything other than finishing 10th instead of 14th/15th.
