And why would a Riberio or other UFAs signed onto a 2-year deal for 5M bring the Flames great picks at the trade deadline.
This summer these guys are closer to being Flames buyouts rather than increased trade value. The other teams with cap room will be looking to get get guys like these AND a second round pick for a third round pick..... The teams in cap trouble might be interested in these 2-3.5 M contracts if the Flames take back their 6M mistakes.
However you might be able to get a 4th pick for Stajan or Stempniak as a rental at next trade deadline.... more for 2 months of Cammalleri.
