One thing which might affect this is the Haswell chips which will succeed the Ivory Bridge chips, rumored to be out in June 2013. These chips will be smaller, and create less heat, meaning the hybrid laptop tablets may get much better specs and things may come down in price.

They seem to be the same notebook almost, Samsung looks more sleek, Asus is lighter, better screen resolution and smaller screen.

Don't know battery consumption comparison.

EDIT: Apperntly the Asus is a IPS screen, whatever that is and the Samsung is a FS, whatever that is. I think neither are touchscreens.
