I have always questioned his leadership skills and felt he was too quiet of a person to be a captain. My idea of a captain is someone like Messier who wasn't afraid to lecture his team mates on poor play.

My sentiments as well.
Messier was very intense and driven, Iggy would probably have benefited hanging around a person like him; Going to another organization is probably going to open up his eyes in a lot different ways.
Personally I am happy for him I don't feel it is necessary to trash on him as some people do. He can say what he wants he gave us a lot of good years.
