But raising the price year in year out(while it may be most profitable now) does cause a bad rapport to be built between your average fan and the Flames. The Dome is already becoming less filled(in terms of people who use their seats) and when the time comes for them to re-up a lot probably won't. I mean, here at CP there's a decent amount of people saying they won't re-up and they love the Flames so much that they'll devote some of their day to an online forum!
Had they recognized/acknowledged the deteriorating product earlier, and not tried to skin fans for all their worth, I'd suggest that they'd see more costumer loyalty, which is crucial for them right now.
The fact is that they were arrogant and somewhat short sighted in their approach to selling tickets(not unlike the hockey ops department) and now will have to suffer a few consequences in the form of less seats being used, and a reduction in season ticket sales(assuming the team sucks for the next ~3 years).
