I don't believe Couturier is untouchable on a team like the Flyers. They have a need to improve their defence, but would need to shed salary to do so. They have incredible depth at Center, and Couturier is not a key contributor in their lineup.
I simply offered up a proposal that I think would fit the needs of both teams.

While I think your trade is complete garbage (Not sure if Coburn straight across for Gio would even get accepted) I think Couturier might be dangled for the right return. Not sure if Gio would do it though, maybe Gio + Pits 1st give or take. Philly seems high on Laughton and I'm sure Couturier would be available if they're getting a top 2 dman back.
