Hartley getting canned will not be good for future prospective applicants. The Flames organization has become sort of a coaching musical chair.
That being said the Flames are going to be a young inexperienced team next year. For that they need coaches who are more developmental in their approach. Some one who can teach the X's and O's to be successful in the big league. Brent Sutter might have been a better fit for a transitional team than Hartley but that bridge has been burnt for the time being.
