Supply and demand. Simple as that.

Betcha can't get tix to Lakers games. And certainly not cheaply if you can.

No one is forcing you to pay these prices; you can not do so and watch games on TV just fine. The Flames still make "something" off that, though clearly not as much.

And why do you pay $13 to go to movies? Because some dumbass actor wants to make $20 million per movie?

What you need to do is evaluate the bang for the buck. If you don't like it, don't buy it. If you do, go ahead. It's really not that difficult to figure out. And, as a consumer, your only REAL option to make a statement to management and ownership is not to purchase.
