The Flames played this season as if they'd forgotten the fundamentals of the game. Their play in the defensive zone was pathetic. That was partially due to a lack of talent but mainly due to a complete lack of coaching. I doubt we get anywhere as long as Hartley is in charge. Hopefully I'm wrong. Next year should tell, we'll either see a marked improvement in our own zone or it will be time to get a new coach.
