It wasn't until mid-way through this season that the finally came face to face with the fact that it is time to rebuild. Sutter wasn't going to start the season knowing that nothing was changing.
Perhaps he was happy to stay on board if the Flames rebuild started during the off-season, or at last year's trade deadline, or perhaps he was just done with the organization.
Don't expect him to say anything earth shattering. He isn't the type to rock the boat in the media. He'll use tact.
