I watched it early on and they would show people paying money for the things they found (easily faked though) and now it seems they just say what it is worth without ever showing them actually getting that.
Hester was the worst for this never having lockers where he didn't clear a couple of grand on each.

Darrel Sheets is really bad for that too. "This is a hundred dollar bill all day." A bunch of broken power tools? "That's at least five hundred dollars right there."
I like when they find a large locker full of things like books (Hester) or CDs/records (Jarrod/Brandi). "At $3 per CD we got like $2,000 here!" "Each box has 100 books at $5 per book we've got at least $15,000 worth of books here." ...which completely disregards the fact that for that stuff to be worth what you're saying, someone's going to have to buy it first. And it might not sell right away so you have to factor in how much it's going to cost to store and display it. At least the Pawnstars guys are up front about that stuff when they offer $50 for the thing the expert just said is worth $5,000.
