I have noticed a much better and coherent drafting philosophy being taken form from the 2010 draft. That is when the Flames prioritized "high-hockey IQ". Since then, there has been a lot more to hope for from the prospects. Seemed like every prospect this organization touched started having much more success in their leagues, and thought of as 'surpassing' their initial draft position. I think it gets better every year. I think last year's draft might have been better than 2011. Of course, this one will be the 'biggest draft' in the history of the organization.

I think Brossoit makes it. His biggest weakness is his mental game. This is a very flexible, very athletic goalie with great reflexes. When he is 'on', he can win games on his own. Problem was he would be 'off' now and then. He is much more consistent now it seems, and I think he will develop into a good NHL calibre goalie. Maybe a great one if things go well. He will give Ramo and Berra a run for their money, but will probably require a bit more seasoning in the AHL. Very glad we signed him though!
