I agree with you on the Air America thing. They are laughable. One thing I do give Franken credit for though is that he comes prepared to battle. He doesn't get caught with his pants down very often and does fight fair. He's way too left wing for my liking, but hey, everyone has their place (even neo-cons). I just hate it when someone uses unetical tactics to ambush someone and then pass it off as journalism. That's what got CBS and 60 minutes in hot water during the late 80's IIRC. Hannity and O'Reilly are scumbags who get air time for a major network that seriously impacts our society. Its not like they have their shows like Springer anymore. These guys get a level of credability thrwon their way because "they are on the news". That's where it is wrong and that is why they should not be considered journalists an why Fox is nothing but propaganda.
On the balance issue, Fox doesn't play fair. Really, they don't. There are statistics to back this up that show Fox doesn't play fair when it comes to who they bring on their show. Its included in several complaints to the FCC. If they did not take the cheapshots they do, did not work from talking points and provided a little more air time to respectable Democrats then I would have no problem with them. But they are just as bad as CBC in Canada for playing to one party and shreding the other. Its weak.
