Well, the other teams that are in the top 3/5 have been in rebuild mode for quite a while. I would think they would need more established prospects for them to get out of the rebuild funk. Colorado for example has some pretty solid centres and can use some extra wingers that are only a year or two away from being NHLers.
Florida also seems to be in the same boat.
Maybe also sweeten the pot for those teams by adding some established NHLers as well. Say Cammaleri, Stempniak, Hudler, Giordano or Wideman.
Basically, I'm of the opinion that you do whatever it takes to get as many top 5 picks this year as possible and that includes selling off our promising prospects.
