Hartley not playing youngsters, and letting floating invisible vets like Cammalari and Tanguay lead the time in icetime is inexcusable. Especially Tanguay. True, but when the GM comes out and says that he tried to trade everyone but 4 guys, how are you going to feel? You need to be a professional, I get it, but they can be forgiven for a game like that on a day when the GM says that.
They need to play for pride the rest of the way.
A quick rebuild is attainable. There are many teams that are going to have cap trouble next year, and for once it won't be us. Players will be available at $0.50 - $0.75 on the dollar in trades. Have a good draft, scoop up some players on value trades and things may not look so bad.
