The fact that he's still here doesn't really mean anything, one way or another.
The fact that he didn't talk for a full 5 weeks after the bumbling of ROR until he had to announce the Iginla trade, still speaks volumes for me IMHO.
There was not enough reasonable time, in this short season, since that time and before the deadline to let him go and bring someone else. As had been mentioned, not fair for a new GMs first task to be the one presiding over a fire sale of the franchise player, and outside of a slightly better return on both the trades, a new GM wasn't going to get a whole lot more.
I guess we'll find out within the next month...before or just at the end of the season will give a new GM, who would have a lot more control then Feaster does, almost 2 months to get ready for the draft, compliance buyout and UFA.
IMHO, despite of him being front and center this past week for the first time in a while, his task was to make the moves he did and could, he's still on shaky ground if the Flames truly want to turn the page on and off the ice.
