If you sign a long term deal, honor the full term of that deal. Otherwise, sign a one year deal and play every year to earn the next year's contract. If at some point, you decide you would lie to retire, walk away with nothing left on the table, either way. That to me is the honorable thing to do. To me, if you sign a deal you live with all terms of that deal, not just the ones you particularly like.

Well then teams shouldnt be allowed to buy players out either...it works both ways.
