He was really young during his first "stint". Very few goalies are NHL ready by that time. And there is more to it than just stats. Why can a player like Jagr come to the NHL and put up the same or better numbers than in the KHL, yet other players with similar stats in the KHL can't?

Maybe Ramo will come in and have success. Maybe he will come in and be the next Jonas Gustavsson. To be (intellectually) honest, the latter scenario seems more likely to me.

For the the record, I was big on Ramo before then. I even had him on my draft deal wishlist a year and half before we actually acquired him (June 2010):
