The high hopes seem to be tied to Feaster billing him as one of the best goaltenders in Europe. This is the same guy that tagged Cervenka as one of the best players outside the NHL last year and apparently expected him to fill in as Jokinen's replacement down the middle.
Maybe Ramo will come in and have success. Maybe he will come in and be the next Jonas Gustavsson. To be (intellectually) honest, the latter scenario seems more likely to me.

Are expectations that he can play in the NHL lofty? I don't see anyone anointing him a Vezina candidate.
