If this is truly the case, I hope Hartley and the coaching staff do the right thing, and start MacDonald pretty much the rest of the way. It seems obvious that Kipper's head isn't in it right now, and this team is on a rocketship to nowhere, so what's the point of throwing him out there?
Give Kipper the last home start on April 19 to give the fans a chance to express their appreciation. And if he wants the final road start in Chicago on the 26th, then by all means.
But other than that, why embarrass him any further? It's highly unlikely that he turns it around this season.
