Sorry to rebump this thread, but because of the good memories of this series I decided to pull it out and watch it again from the mini series to the end.

I just finished the midway point of season two with the unbelievable three part story arc around the Pegasus.

As weird as it sounds, this series ages so incredibly well, I still find myself surprised by plot points that at the time seemed insignificant and then grew.

While the effects are solid especially in the Resurrection Ship episodes where Apollo floats in the middle of the battle the thing that sets this thing apart besides the incredible story writing is the acting.

Every single character is done incredibly well, but when you watch it again even the minor characters stand out like Callie, and Cat and Hot Dog and others. Tricia Hefler is deliciously deceptive in her role. But after getting to this point one of the best performances was Michelle Forbes as Admiral Cain, a character that I believe was driven mad by the Cylon destruction of the colonies.

She did an amazing amazing job.

So why am I writing this? Because this series like few others is worth buying the DVD's and watching them again. Its just too bad that Caprica was such a misfire because the Cylon's were a extremely interest concept.
