But they're not looking at the big picture then. Kipper can play out this season and retire, or play next year and retire.......on a bad team that is rebuilding. He's not going to win and will likely leave without an asset coming back.
If the Leafs can convince him to play there and give the Flames an asset they otherwise would never have had, it really doesn't matter how well he does.
Assets...........or zero assets.
Easy choice.
