When MG was interviewed after the signing that was the first question that was asked. He said his defensive game is the reason why the Canucks targeted him. He was one of the few Panthers last season that wasnt a - the 16 goals was just a bonus.
Jason Garrison is a shutdown Dman first with a huge point shot. Thats why the Canucks signed him.
4.6m is a bargain and a discount considering that he was getting offers 5m+ from teams.
He hasnt been a problem on defence this year, I dont know where you get that he's been a failure.
Garrison has 1 more goal than the offensive defenceman you guys signed at 5.2m and +12 vs Wideman's -5.
