Everyone knew he wasn't going to score as much. Then why pay him the big bucks?
They brought him in to be a Sami Salo replacement - to have the huge shot from the point and score 15+ goals (they hoped). Most thought it was a bad signing at the time and nothing's changed, though Garrison has saved it from being a huge disaster by at least being competent defensively.
If he was brought in to complement Edler then why has he played with Hamhuis most of the season? Hey maybe that's why his defensive stats are so good...
Your point is ridiculous, that's like saying Bouwmeester was a huge success in Calgary the first three years because even though he wasn't putting up points he could still log 30 minutes a night and be decent defensively.
Garrison hasn't been as advertised and even most canucks fans would admit that.
