Iginla's return in that trade was very similar to Marian Hossa's from the Thrashers Pens trade. Considering Iginla isn't as good as Hossa was at the time, we did relatively well.
All you could've been lucky to get for Bouwmeester was a 3rd rounder after last year, especially with that salary for this year and next. Getting a first, plus a 3rd pairing D-man and Backup or maybe better goalie is a good return.
Prepare to be shocked when Kipper returns less than a 2nd, and Cammalleri returns LA's 1st + a secondary prospect or two from Columbus.
