He would be the Carle replacement in Philly.
Carle went away to TB and Philly replaced him with Schenn. That was almost as stupid as the Flames replacing Phanuef and Regehr and Vandermeer and Pardy with Brodie, Butler, Smith and Babchuck..... nothing wrong with any of these guys but they all need 2-3 bruisers as defensive mates.
Schenn for Bouwmeester helps both Philly and the Flames. The Flames have a bunch of guys who would look great with Schenn watching their back.
Carle went to TB and as their #1 D man got the coach fired. These smooth skating semi-offensive guys need to have 2-3 bruisers to cover for them and make them effective. Otherwise they become Bouwmeester and team wreckers.
Too many bruisers and you get the the same result. You need the balance and the Flames led by Bouwmeester have none.
