It might not be the best move in Flames history, but it is FAR from the worst.
It could be the most IMPORTANT trade in Flames history, though. More so then the return, it signifies the end of the 'Iggy Era' of this team. It means the end of a portion of history that culminated in a cup run, and a whooooole bunch of failure. It signifies that start of something new. something young, and something exciting. It's the end of the 35 year old veteran team. It means a new face, a new identity, and new hope.
I am happy for what we had. It was fun. But right now, i am VERY excited for what is to come. The new face of the franchise will be taken in the top-3 of the draft.
Here's to the future!
