If all Kipper would get us is a 2nd, I wouldn't trade him.
I think if he is traded, there is a very good chance this is his last year. But if he stays in Calgary, I think he keeps playing.
And if they trade him, they have to go get another goalie, which will cost more than a 2nd.
Why spend assets for a goalie during a rebuild? Far better asset management to convince Kipper to stay for a couple more years
