The only team who would want a rental goalie is a playoff team. And every single playoff team has a better goalie than Kipper, expect for maybe Toronto. That is the only team in the NHL who might give up an asset for Kipper. And with Luongo/Miller on the market, why would they want the worst starter in the NHL, who may not even play leaving them stuck with his cap? 
 
Kipper would very easily clear waivers. Nobody would take him.

Oh, and you know what Calgary is going through right now, your group of divers is about 3 years away. This year will be a first or second round exit. The year after you squeak in barely, and realize you have an aging untradable core. Then it is 5 years of  9th-11th misery, then the inevitable re build. And at that time Luuuuuuuuuuu will have about 34 years left on his contract. Good luck with that.
