We tell ourselves this. But he is the main culprit against Raffi Torres, Mike Fisher, Eric Nystrom etc. Was his D partner overmatched when he pinched against CBJ and didn't get back? Watch what he is doing when goals are scored and think about what else he could have been doing. You may be surprised.
Also last year Butler without Bouw's help actually did reasonably well.
