Most of the reason he gets torched is because the flames have no one to play with him against top guys. Last year he was with Butler, this year Gio was awful in that role and now he's playing with a rookie who's over matched in the role.
But when it comes to trading Bouwmeester it's a simple question. When the flames are ready to compete again, will the assets they acquire for him be worth more than he would be to the flames (which likely isn't much since he will leave as a ufa)
