2. Not recognizing Cervenka is a winger. I don't believe Weisbrod or even scouts are so incompetent that they can't tell a winger from a center. You don't even have to watch him, his center/winger thing was explained in his interview. Didn't seem to have an extra guy on the management/scouting team to dig the issue.

3. Didn't get Iginla's list in writing. Once again didn't have an extra mind to think it through.

It just feels like too much information flowing through too little braincenter thus creating rudiculous oversights. Again, I'm not trying to defend Feaster with this by any means and I don't know how big is Flames management team compared to other franchises.
I agree with your points. I am not convinced it is understaffed but moreso the people in place are under-qualified and inexperienced. Seems like we are always getting the butt-end of the deal in returns for players that either don't fit the mandate or the mold of what the team is looking for at the time. We talk about adding size but end up with small forwards, We talk about grit so we add a fighter. We talk about playing our young guys but we keep sending them back down to the farm. We keep wavering from our original plan; Where is Roman Horak and Sven, hard to expect them to be part of the future went they can't even play on the big club? I am starting to wonder if we have too many non-hockey minds in upper management.
