Personal opinion is that Bouwmeester is worth two 1sts, I think a B prospect and a 1st from Edmonton is a joke - to trade him within the division unless it's way over market when we're going over to a divisional playoff system next year would be dumb.
He's a first pairing guy who is putting up numbers and playing almost 30 minutes a night with another year under contract - value is huge. And Smid... why would Calgary even remotely have any interest in trading for UFAs at the deadline? Ask yourselves what a negotiating window with Smid is actually worth - a 4th or 5th rounder? He costs more than that because he has value for the remaining 15 games and the playoffs, which Calgary has absolutely no need of. Would be just mind bogglingly stupid for Calgary to pay market price for him at the deadline.
