It took 1 mid/late season meltdown, and 3 awful starts to realize what everyone in hockey figured they should do and rebuild. The flames destroyed 2 of their best assets in Dion and Iggy. Kipper has little to no worth anymore and Regehr didn't have the value many thought. We are down to Bouwmeester as a big ticket marketable asset and I have no confidence this management team is going into get it right. We went from being the Leafs and are on our way to being the Oilers. Unless we hit the jackpot on a couple trades or prospects we are 5 years away from being a playoff team let alone being a contender
